Mom will say "you're perfect, you're safe, you're smart, and you're very good looking" just to get them to shut up and go back out and play. Africans, Norwegians, Hawaiians, Pakistanis, Bolivians, Mexicans, Siberians, river otters, monkeys, cats and dogs, et al lie to their kids just to make them shut up and go back out and play and leave mom alone to do her activity. I was lucky in having older cousins who at my father's request, taught me how to play football with MUCH bigger and older kids. After being physically thrown at a pursuing tackler, my cousin made the touchdown, but it was called back because I had grabbed the tackler so I would not fall and be trampled. Penalty. Illegal use of hands. Out of the game. That's life. Be nice and beware of guys at least twice your weight and speed.
